From highlife to Japanese groove, Yugo boogie to Turkish disco, the London dancefloor has never been so musically diverse. If a DJ is willing to dig deep enough, no corner of the world is off limits. '
Infusions' is a new collaborative series between Stamp The Wax and Dance Tunnel that embraces the art of digging, vertically and laterally. We'll be inviting some of our favourite DJs to explore the breadth and depth of their record collection, infusing their set with the music of a particular country, genre or era. This may be a sound that has influenced their own style, something significant in their childhood, or a far-off culture that deserves more attention.
First up, we've secured a 5am licence for an seven hour Far Eastern infusion of Matcha proportions:
Soichi Terada (Live)
Residents boiling the kettle and prepping the crockery this time round: Aaron Levitt, Joshua Brill & Robin Sure.
Still to come in the series we've got Antal, Marvin & Valentino (Public Possession), Johnny Rock, Mehmet Aslan. Dates and combinations revealed soon.
